Wonderful weekend getaway

We booked our trip to the Finger Lakes over a year ago, but at the last minute the B&B we had originally reserved for the weekend closed for business. We found MoonShadow just a few weeks before our trip and we are so glad we did. You couldn’t ask for a nicer B&B located in a beautiful location with the most gracious hosts, Steve and Jeanette. They also served the best breakfasts we have ever had!! Keeping Covid in mind- Steve and Jeanette made sure everyone followed all of the rules regarding face masks and social distancing so we felt comfortable and safe. Although not everything in the area was open or had their typical business hours due to Covid, we still found plenty to do. We can’t wait to visit again!!

So relaxing

Such a relaxing Bed and Breakfast! Our first break since CoVid hit.

Reading on front porch, viewing Maple tree leaves that had just turned red, was amazingly enjoyable. I also enjoyed how the birds would flit around in the bushes and occasionally land on the porch quite near me. Got to watch a chickadee quite closely because it ignored my presence.

Breakfasts are out of this world! Steve and Jeanette accommodated my low salt diet. Social distancing is maintained in the dining room.

They are quite knowledgeable about the area and can recommend restaurants, museums, and of course the wineries. There is a list of restaurants in a booklet in your room.

Enjoyed two nights in this welcoming, relaxing b and b! Jeanette and Steven are wonderful host and amazing chefs. Rooms are clean, nicely decorated, extremely comfy, and bathrooms are spacious and modern. Loved the decor throughout the house! Breakfasts were truly fantastic...while plated they were varied each morning. It is such a great place to stay while visiting Hammondsport and the wine trails! And be sure to order a charcuterie board for a relaxing evening one night.
