Bruce and Judy

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Moon Shadow Bed and Breakfast. Originally, we were supposed to stay only 2 nights but we enjoyed ourselves so much that we added a night. Jeannette and Steven have a background in hospitality and that background is enhanced by an instinctive sense of how to make people feel welcome and comfortable. They attended to our every need, providing a rain jacket when we left for dinner one night and didn't have one, providing snacks for our bike ride and sending us home with a delicious piece of Jeannette's homemade banana bread.

Speaking of homemade, the breakfasts are delicious: scrambled eggs were served with homemade sour dough bread and a yogurt parfait with homemade granola, another morning we had vegetable quiche made with locally picked vegetables. Everything was delicious and fresh.

The inn itself is immaculate, homey and comfortable. We stayed in the lovely and spacious Luna Suite for the first two nights. For the third night we stayed in the Lakeview Suite which is small but clean and comfortable and, in person, much nicer than the photo suggests, due to constant upgrades by Jeannette and Steven since they purchased the inn 6+ weeks ago.

One of the most delightful features of the inn is the front porch with a spectacular view overlooking Keuka Lake. Each day we looked forward to coming back from our adventures in the Finger Lakes to relax on the porch, listening to the birds enjoying the bird feeder and the wind chimes. This bed and breakfast is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and Jeannette and Steven are the perfect hosts to make your stay special and relaxing.
