Hard to leave! Felt like leaving family.

My wife and I came to the area to run the Wineglass marathon. This was only our 2nd B&B after 17 years of marriage and it was soooo wonderful! Everything was perfect. The peaceful atmosphere, the relaxing views, the amazing food served exactly at 9:00 am, playing darts or pool just because, the beautiful area to explore. We loved meeting the different guests that all felt like old friends so quickly. Steven and Jeannette were absolutely perfect hosts. I'm not one to write reviews, but just had to because we loved it that much!

This is what a Bed and Breakfast should be

We had a perfectly delightful time at this bed and breakfast. Our hosts, Jeanette and Steven's welcoming ways helped to make our stay extra enjoyable. Their knowledge of the area helped us find the best restaurants and places to go. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a picture perfect view of Lake Keuka. The gourmet breakfasts were excellent and we especially appreciated Jeanette's efforts to be sensitive to special food requirements.

A Beautiful Place for a Peaceful Getaway

Our recently married daughter and son-in-law gave us a 2-night stay at the Moonshadow as a thank you to us for their wedding. We've been to Hammondsport and Keuka Lake numerous times, but never for an overnight so we were very excited to enjoy this little getaway to relax for a couple of days. Everything about the Moonshadow was top notch. Our room was nicely appointed along with a modern bathroom and a great view of Keuka Lake. The house and grounds were lovely with a great front porch for relaxing and the breakfasts were incredibly delicious. Thanks to recommendations from our wonderful hosts Jeanette and Steve, we visited some great out of the way wineries and shops we'd never known about plus enjoyed some delicious lunches and dinners in the charming little village of Hammondsport. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful and we really enjoyed getting to know Jeanette and Steve and how they came to move to the Finger Lakes area after living many years in San Diego. We will definitely go back there soon. P.S. If you go, make sure you see the picture of the house from its early days back in the late 1800's.
