Just spent two nights at Moonshadow and had a marvelous time . Jeanette and Steve go out of their way to make you relax and feel at home. They have impeccable tastes from the design interiorly to the grooming of the grounds outside. It's like being at your own lake residence. The food was outstanding and their aid in what is happening in and around Keuka lake is on the mark. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you stay with them.
From the time Steven and Jeanette stepped out to welcome us, to the time we said goodbye, we knew MoonShadow was a treasure. Their house is beautiful inside and out. Our room was furnished tastefully, the bed comfortable, the bathroom spotless. We especially liked the “Game Room” adjacent to the house that had a pool table, dart board, ring toss and board games. Ah, the breakfast! Sumptuous and scrumptious, beautifully prepared and presented, carefully adjusted for our dietary restrictions and preferences. Steven and Jeanette were available to answer all questions about the area restaurants and activities. We weren’t able to take full advantage of Steven’s knowledge of the adjacent vineyards, but hope we can one day take advantage of the reasonably-priced tour he offers. We have been traveling to the Finger Lakes area for the last 10 years, each time staying at a B&B. I can honestly say that MoonShadow is one of the best.
We are enjoying a two week family road trip from Boston, to the Finger Lakes, and finishing in NYC. Steven and Jeanette’s B&B fell 2/3rds of the way through and is by far the nicest, most welcoming, and comfortable place we have stayed in. A pure slice of heaven. The Garden View room was very clean and nicely presented, our teenage kids enjoying a bed to themselves and ours very comfortable. Every evening we would sit on the veranda, reading a book, listening to gentle music, taking in the wonderful surroundings. Steven lit the fire pit and thoughtfully provided S’mores ingredients for the kids, something we don’t do back home in the U.K. They were both very helpful with local sightseeing information and we enjoyed evening chats with them and other guests. Lastly, breakfasts were to die for. You could not head out without enjoying such a varied and delicious start to the day. Steven and Jeanette go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a special one.
